Connecting Zapier

Start in Zapier, sign in to NiceData, authorize the right workspace, and confirm the connection.

Before you start

Zapier access may be enabled per workspace. If the Apps page or project Zapier area still shows Coming soon, your workspace has not been enabled yet.

1

Zapier

Start the connection in Zapier

Create a new Zap in Zapier and choose NiceData as the app for the trigger or action you want to use.

  • NiceData connections begin in Zapier, not from a form inside NiceData.
  • You can also open the Apps page in NiceData and use the Zapier card to jump over to Zapier.
  • When you continue, Zapier opens the NiceData sign-in and authorization flow in a new window.
2

Authentication

Sign in to NiceData

Sign in with a NiceData user account that already belongs to the workspace you want Zapier to access.

  • If you are already signed in, NiceData takes you straight to the authorization screen.
  • If your user does not belong to a workspace yet, the connection cannot be completed.
  • Use an owner or admin account when you expect to manage or disconnect the integration later.
3

Consent

Authorize the correct workspace

Review the NiceData authorization screen carefully before you approve the connection.

  • The screen shows the workspace Zapier is requesting access to.
  • Depending on the Zap, Zapier may request permission to subscribe to document events, read document data, or upload new documents.
  • Only authorize the workspace you intend to automate, because document data will flow through that connection.
4

Finish

Return to Zapier and test the account

After you click Authorize, NiceData sends you back to Zapier so you can finish the Zap setup.

  • Choose the newly connected NiceData account in Zapier if you manage more than one connection.
  • Run Zapier's account test before moving on to trigger or action setup.
  • If you need to remove access later, owners and admins can disconnect Zapier from the Apps page in NiceData.
Security note

Disconnecting Zapier revokes the NiceData OAuth connection and deactivates Zapier-owned subscriptions for that workspace, so it is the safest way to fully remove automated access.
