Getting started

Create your first project, upload a document, review the extracted output, and download the formats you need.

Recommended first run

The fastest way to learn NiceData is to create one project, upload one file, wait for processing to finish, then inspect the extracted output and download the format you need.

1

Projects

Create your first project

Start on the Projects page and use Create Project to open the creation dialog.

  • Enter a project name and submit the dialog.
  • NiceData creates a dedicated project with its own documents, analytics, settings, exports, and inbound email address.
  • When the project opens, you land on the Documents page automatically.
2

Ingestion

Upload your first file

New projects show the add-documents panel immediately, so you can start ingesting files without any extra setup.

  • Drag a file into the upload area or use the file picker.
  • The same panel also shows the project email address if you prefer to send documents by email instead of uploading from the browser.
  • After the upload starts, the document appears in the list right away and begins processing asynchronously.
3

Review

Review the processed output

Stay on the document list while the file moves through Pending and Processing. Open the document row once it finishes.

  • The document viewer defaults to the extracted JSON view after processing completes.
  • You can switch between Original, JSON, and CSV & Excel in the top viewer navigation.
  • The right sidebar shows file details, processing activity, and available download actions.
4

Exports

Download what you need

Once a document is completed, NiceData exposes downloadable outputs directly from the document list and viewer.

  • Use the download icon in the document list to grab the original uploaded file.
  • Inside the viewer, use the download action for generated JSON, Excel, and CSV outputs when they are available.
  • If you want automated delivery later, use the Webhooks section in Export.
